I got caught by my mom painting my toenails what should i do!?!?!?

MY mom left town and she was so post to be gone for hours but came back and caught me painting my toenails! I am a guy and am gay not that this should matter. I enjoy painting my toenails because it makes me happy and feel good as well as taking supper good care of my feet. I dont use girly colors but dark ones. She came home and asked why she smelt nail polish so I lied but then felt bad so came out of the bathroom and then she asked if I painted my toenails and I said yes. She only bothered me for a little while about it, and then told me if I ever had anything that I wanted to tell her then she will listen. One of the problems is that I think she thinks this was my first time painting my toenails since she never caught me before and thinks that I probably wont do it again. So I took it off before she saw then because she had not seen them yet and then went back up stairs so she knows that it embarrassed me. The other problem is that she nor any of my family know that I am gay. So my question is should I just not tell her about me and let me and let her find out on her own or should I tell her tomorrow that I am gay and enjoy painting my toenails because it makes me feel good...? For the record I do not like to wear anything fem or do anything else that is said to be girly. I am gay but not a cross dresser not that that is wrong it just is not me. So how should I tell my mom I am gay and like painting my toenails!?!?!
